THE VISION OF MURPHY CHURCH OF GOD

We at Murphy Church of God. desire to be a New Testament Christian Church and commit to actively pursuing those who do not know the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. We also commit to reaching those who, for what ever reason, no longer serve the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior. We do this based on the following scripture.
Luke 19:10; Matthew 18:11/ Luke 10:25-37/ Matthew 28:18-20/ Mark 16:15

We do this in four distinct ways:

1. We realize that the needs of people are not only  physical but mainly spiritual.
Understanding this, we commit not to man inspired programs but rather Spirit inspired encounters with God. We do this by presenting a welcoming atmosphere to God and His Holy Spirit.

2. We also commit, by the Holy Spirit, to live a life inside the church as well as in the community of unconditional love. Just as God loves, we will love also.

3. We understand that in order to love unconditionally, we must be willing to accept people where they are, allowing God to he the Author of change in peoples lives.
John 8:1-12; Luke 7:36-50; II Corinthians 5:17 

4. In our efforts to allow our lives to reveal the Living God, we also commit to living a life of forgiveness. Realizing that we have been freely forgiven, we in turn strive to extend forgiveness to those God brings into our lives.
