Now that Christ is my Lord and Saviour, is there anything else to know or do?

YES! Now that you are a child of the Living GOD, there is much more to learn about your Saviour and the Body of Christ (The Living Church)

FIRST OF ALL - The best way to learn about Jesus is through God's Holy Word (The Bible) read the whole Gospel of St. John, John has a different focus on the Lord than found in the other Gospels. The next good book to read would be the book of Romans written by Paul. Paul wasn't one of the original 12, but I feel he was the replacement for Judas. Paul was a enemy of the Church and all the believers in Jesus (Yeshua) and literally hunted them. That is until he was called by the Lord in a special way, just like all of us, a special drawing that's unique for each one of us. (Read Paul's own story about what happened to him in Acts Chapter 22 starting with verse 6.)

SECOND OF ALL - Find a good Christian Church, that believes the Bible, preaches that you must be BORN-AGAIN by accepting Christ as your Saviour, and the Pastor reads and teaches his people from the Bible and not some other books.

THIRD OF ALL - Start praying each day, not for things, but for other peoples needs and that the HOLY SPIRIT would speak to your heart and open GOD'S WORD up to your understanding.

FOURTH OF ALL - BEWARE of the enemy! satan don't want to loose you and he will do everything in his power to draw you back to him. Like for example, thoughts that your not really saved, or how could you be a Christian? You still do _  _ _ _ _ _ _ _  or you do  _ _ _ or you have been sooooo bad, how can GOD care about you! ALL LIES FROM THE FATHER OF LIES - DON'T LISTEN!!!!! But if there is a small voice inside telling you that you shouldn't do something that's bad - That's good, it's the HOLY SPIRIT trying to tell you to move on to step five.

FIFTH OF ALL - REPENTANCE Some people seem to change completely the moment they ask Jesus into their hearts, but not all. Excuse, copout? No reality, but some people use the facts to justify their behavior and keep sinning. Now lets look at some simple facts, it says in II Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

When the HOLY SPIRIT speaks to your heart to stop doing something that's a sin and you turn away from it, that's REPENTANCE. When you can't do it on your own power and you ask GOD to take the desire away and you don't go back to it, that's REPENTANCE. And there isn't any weakness that you can't conquer, even if it's more than you can handle, if you have Jesus in your heart. Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

SIXTH OF ALL - FELLOWSHIP Find some mature Christians to hang out with and to talk to.

SEVENTH OF ALL - SPREAD THE WORD Tell others what you have learned!

For the few things I forgot, a Quote from the
Bible Illustrator, from Parsons Technology

Some years ago, respected Christian leader D. J. De Pree of Zeeland, Michigan, addressed the annual Gideon convention in Washington, D. C. In his message he pointed out that we must engage in ten important spiritual activities if we are to realize fully the revitalizing power of the Word.
We must read it (1 Tim. 4:13)
eat it -- that is, take it into our very being (Job 23:12; Jer. 15:16)
bathe in it for spiritual cleansing (John 15:3)
look into it as a mirror to see our true self (James 1:23-25)
meditate on it (Psalm 1:2; 1 Tim. 4:15)
memorize it (Deut. 11:18; Psalm 119:11)
study it (2 Tim. 2:15; Heb. 5:12-14)
teach it to others (Deut. 11:19; Col 3:16)
talk about it (Josh. 1:8)
and sow its seeds of truth in the field of the world (Matt. 13:3-9; Luke 8:11)
The daily practice of these scriptural admonitions will keep you in a state of perpetual revival. AMEN !
