Testimony of

Pastor Tim Edwards

I was born in South Africa, in Johannesburg. I was 'saved' at the age of 6 at a Baptist rally for youth. A few weeks later, I was reading in the book of Acts how the people that were saved, received the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in other tongues. I prayed as hard as I could for this manifestation, but nothing happened. Satan convinced me that I was not loved by God. He told me that God would have given me this gift if God loved me. I decided at that moment to never love God ever again.

At this stage, I started studying martial arts, and by the time I graduated from university I had moved onto to studying the religious aspect of martial arts. I became a Buddhist, and started to study the tao religion. While in university I had discovered paranormal psychology and astral travel.

When I graduated from university, I joined the police services and at this stage I was banned from various full contact martial art schools, for excessive violence during competitions. At one stage I was in a competition with a 3rd Dan black belt from Hong Kong (he was a visiting instructor who had come to evaluate our club), and I broke his jaw; not too good for diplomacy - and I was asked to leave.

At this stage my anger was starting to get the better of me, and I discovered that bouncing was a good way to relieve some of the pent up anger. I worked at some real rough clubs, but instead the anger just increased.

Needless to say, I soon found myself taking on security contracts all over Africa...but none lasted longer than 6 months. Upon the return from one of my contracts, I met up with an old friend whom I had know for 10 years. We married a couple of months later - and then I realized that she was not only a born again believer, but a radical Jesus Person who spoke in tongues, believed in miracles and more. God had spoke to her, and told her to marry me! Five years later, I was sick and tired of Julie telling me about Jesus, so I determined to prove to her that the Bible was a fraud. Now the only way I knew how to do this was to attend a seminary school, and prove it from within.

I signed up at a seminary school, and found Jesus. He not only loved me, but had being waiting all this time for me to find HIM!

I have never been the same. I did some missionary work (smuggling tracts and Bibles) and eventually started a little church. Soon after this, the Lord led me to the USA where I now pastor a small country Church in Kentucky. In 2004 I was ordained under Rabbi David Hall as a Messianic pastor.

My life is full of miracles ...but there is not enough space to recount all the miracles that have happened so far and continue to happen daily.
