Testimony of

My testimony starts out like many others, forgive me for not going into a lot of details but I like to focus on the future not the past. I was a very rebellious person even as a small child. At 10 years of age every thing in my world changed, my mother and father divorced and my mother remarried a very abusive man. I lost all respect for authority and I began to depend 100% on myself. So I grew up doing what I wanted when I wanted with no body telling me anything. I spent a lot of time at my great grandma's and my neighbors house, they were both strong Christians and would tell me they were praying for me and would try to tell me right from wrong but I didn't listen.

So trouble found me pretty easy all through school. After I got out of school I directed my efforts to work making money and looking out for # 1, then I meet the girl that would shortly become my wife. We dated for 6 months and then we were married but the honey moon didn't last very long. I didn't know how to love someone the way Christ intended. I became wrapped up in work, drinking and running around, I didn't care who I hurt and hurt I did. Then the next life changing event happened, my wife got pregnant and we had our son, shortly after this my wife started attending church. I still didn't want anything to do with church but my wife took my son almost every Sunday and she got saved. We moved from town to the country and my neighbors were all Christians and they finally talked me into going to church, so to get every body off my back I went, but as I started going I started hearing about a God that loved me unconditionally, I started remembering the things my grandma told me as a child, I looked at my son and thought where my marriage was heading and how his life might change if I didn't. So one Sunday at a little country church I gave my life to Jesus and everything began to change, it didn't happen over night but God has restored so much back that I destroyed.

As I close I want to encourage any one who thinks they may have went to far or have done to much, to call on the name of Jesus and he will here you and come into your life and set you free from the bondage of sin. I also want to encourage you prayer warriors not to give up praying for people, you may never see the results of your prayers in this lifetime but I'm thankful to those who prayed for me.
