JOH 1:43 The next day Jesus decided to leave for Galilee. Finding Philip,
he said to him, "Follow me."
44 Philip, like Andrew and Peter, was from the town of Bethsaida.
45 Philip found Nathanael and told him, "We have found the one Moses wrote
about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wrote--Jesus of
Nazareth, the son of Joseph."
46 "Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?" Nathanael asked. "Come
and see," said Philip.
47 When Jesus saw Nathanael approaching, he said of him, "Here is a true
Israelite, in whom there is nothing false."
48 "How do you know me?" Nathanael asked. Jesus answered, "I saw you while
you were still under the fig tree before Philip called you."
6:5 When Jesus looked up and saw a great crowd coming toward him, he said
to Philip, "Where shall we buy bread for these people to eat?"
6 He asked this only to test him, for he already had in mind what he was
going to do.
7 Philip answered him, "Eight months' wages would not buy enough bread for
each one to have a bite!"
12:20 Now there were some Greeks among those who went up to worship at the
Feast.
21 They came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, with a request.
"Sir," they said, "we would like to see Jesus."
22 Philip went to tell Andrew; Andrew and Philip in turn told Jesus.
14:8 Philip said, "Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for
us."
9 Jesus answered: "Don't you know me, Philip, even after I have been among
you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can
you say, 'Show us the Father'?
10 Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in
me? The words I say to you are not just my own. Rather, it is the Father,
living in me, who is doing his work.
11 Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me;
or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves.
12 I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have
been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going
to the Father.
13 And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring
glory to the Father.
ACT 1:13 When they arrived, they went upstairs to the room where they were
staying. Those present were Peter, John, James and Andrew; Philip and
Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew; James son of Alphaeus and Simon the
Zealot, and Judas son of James.
