TIMOTHY

Taken from the HOLY BIBLE: NEW INTERNATIONAL VERSION (C) 1978 by the New
York Bible Society, used by permission of Zondervan Bible Publishers.

ACT 16:1 He came to Derbe and then to Lystra, where a disciple named
Timothy lived, whose mother was a Jewess and a believer, but whose father
was a Greek.

2 The brothers at Lystra and Iconium spoke well of him.

3 Paul wanted to take him along on the journey, so he circumcised him
because of the Jews who lived in that area, for they all knew that his
father was a Greek.

17:14 The brothers immediately sent Paul to the coast, but Silas and
Timothy stayed at Berea.

15 The men who escorted Paul brought him to Athens and then left with
instructions for Silas and Timothy to join him as soon as possible.

18:5 When Silas and Timothy came from Macedonia, Paul devoted himself
exclusively to preaching, testifying to the Jews that Jesus was the Christ.

19:22 He sent two of his helpers, Timothy and Erastus, to Macedonia, while
he stayed in the province of Asia a little longer.

20:1 When the uproar had ended, Paul sent for the disciples and, after
encouraging them, said good-by and set out for Macedonia.

2 He traveled through that area, speaking many words of encouragement to
the people, and finally arrived in Greece,

3 where he stayed three months. Because the Jews made a plot against him
just as he was about to sail for Syria, he decided to go back through
Macedonia.

4 He was accompanied by Sopater son of Pyrrhus from Berea, Aristarchus and
Secundus from Thessalonica, Gaius from Derbe, Timothy also, and Tychicus
and Trophimus from the province of Asia.

ROM 16:21 Timothy, my fellow worker, sends his greetings to you, as do
Lucius, Jason and Sosipater, my relatives.

1CO 4:17 For this reason I am sending to you Timothy, my son whom I love,
who is faithful in the Lord. He will remind you of my way of life in Christ
Jesus, which agrees with what I teach everywhere in every church.

16:10 If Timothy comes, see to it that he has nothing to fear while he is
with you, for he is carrying on the work of the Lord, just as I am.

11 No one, then, should refuse to accept him. Send him on his way in peace
so that he may return to me. I am expecting him along with the brothers.

2CO 1:19 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by
me and Silas and Timothy, was not "Yes" and "No," but in him it has always
been "Yes."

PHI 1:1 Paul and Timothy, servants of Christ Jesus, To all the saints in
Christ Jesus at Philippi, together with the overseers and deacons:

2:19 I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you soon, that I also may
be cheered when I receive news about you.

20 I have no one else like him, who takes a genuine interest in your
welfare.

21 For everyone looks out for his own interests, not those of Jesus
Christ.

22 But you know that Timothy has proved himself, because as a son with his
father he has served with me in the work of the gospel.

23 I hope, therefore, to send him as soon as I see how things go with me.

COL 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and Timothy
our brother,

2 To the holy and faithful brothers in Christ at Colosse: Grace and peace
to you from God our Father.

1TH 1:1 Paul, Silas and Timothy, To the church of the Thessalonians in God
the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace and peace to you.

3:2 We sent Timothy, who is our brother and God's fellow worker in
spreading the gospel of Christ, to strengthen and encourage you in your
faith,

6 But Timothy has just now come to us from you and has brought good news
about your faith and love. He has told us that you always have pleasant
memories of us and that you long to see us, just as we also long to see
you.

2TH 1:1 Paul, Silas and Timothy, To the church of the Thessalonians in God
our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:

1TI 1:2 To Timothy my true son in the faith: Grace, mercy and peace from
God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

3 As I urged you when I went into Macedonia, stay there in Ephesus so that
you may command certain men not to teach false doctrines any longer

18 Timothy, my son, I give you this instruction in keeping with the
prophecies once made about you, so that by following them you may fight the
good fight,

4:14 Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through a prophetic
message when the body of elders laid their hands on you.

6:12 Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to
which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of
many witnesses.

2TI 1:2 To Timothy, my dear son: Grace, mercy and peace from God the
Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

3 I thank God, whom I serve, as my forefathers did, with a clear
conscience, as night and day I constantly remember you in my prayers.

4 Recalling your tears, I long to see you, so that I may be filled with
joy.

5 I have been reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your
grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives
in you also.

6 For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is
in you through the laying on of my hands.

3:15 and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are
able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

PHM 1:1 Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy our brother, To
Philemon our dear friend and fellow worker,

HEB 13:23 I want you to know that our brother Timothy has been released.
If he arrives soon, I will come with him to see you.
