York Bible Society, used by permission of Zondervan Bible Publishers.

GEN 1:22 God blessed them and said, "Be fruitful and increase in number
and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth."

28  God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number;
fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds
of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground."

9:1 Then God blessed Noah and his sons, saying to them, "Be fruitful and
increase in number and fill the earth.

2 The fear and dread of you will fall upon all the beasts of the earth and
all the birds of the air, upon every creature that moves along the ground,
and upon all the fish of the sea; they are given into your hands.

14:19 and he blessed Abram, saying, "Blessed be Abram by God Most High,
Creator of heaven and earth.

20 And blessed be God Most High, who delivered your enemies into your
hand." Then Abram gave him a tenth of everything.

24:60 And they blessed Rebekah and said to her, "Our sister, may you
increase to thousands upon thousands; may your offspring possess the gates
of their enemies."

27:23 He did not recognize him, for his hands were hairy like those of his
brother Esau; so he blessed him.

24 "Are you really my son Esau?" he asked. "I am," he replied.

25 Then he said, "My son, bring me some of your game to eat, so that I may
give you my blessing." Jacob brought it to him and he ate; and he brought
some wine and he drank.

26 Then his father Isaac said to him, "Come here, my son, and kiss me."

27 So he went to him and kissed him. When Isaac caught the smell of his
clothes, he blessed him and said, "Ah, the smell of my son is like the
smell of a field that the LORD has blessed.

28 May God give you of heaven's dew and of earth's richness--an abundance
of grain and new wine.

29 May nations serve you and peoples bow down to you. Be lord over your
brothers, and may the sons of your mother bow down to you. May those who
curse you be cursed and those who bless you be blessed."

28:1 So Isaac called for Jacob and blessed him and commanded him: "Do not
marry a Canaanite woman.

2 Go at once to Paddan Aram, to the house of your mother's father Bethuel.
Take a wife for yourself there, from among the daughters of Laban, your
mother's brother.

3 May God Almighty bless you and make you fruitful and increase your
numbers until you become a community of peoples.

4 May he give you and your descendants the blessing given to Abraham, so
that you may take possession of the land where you now live as an alien,
the land God gave to Abraham."

47:7 Then Joseph brought his father Jacob in and presented him before
Pharaoh. After Jacob blessed Pharaoh,

8 Pharaoh asked him, "How old are you?"

9 And Jacob said to Pharaoh, "The years of my pilgrimage are a hundred and
thirty. My years have been few and difficult, and they do not equal the
years of the pilgrimage of my fathers."

10 Then Jacob blessed Pharaoh and went out from his presence.

48:1 Some time later Joseph was told, "Your father is ill." So he took his
two sons Manasseh and Ephraim along with him.

49:1 Then Jacob called for his sons and said: "Gather around so I can tell
you what will happen to you in days to come.

LEV 9:22 Then Aaron lifted his hands toward the people and blessed them.
And having sacrificed the sin offering, the burnt offering and the
fellowship offering, he stepped down.

23 Moses and Aaron then went into the Tent of Meeting. When they came out,
they blessed the people; and the glory of the LORD appeared to all the
people.

NUM 6:23 "Tell Aaron and his sons, 'This is how you are to bless the
Israelites. Say to them:

24  "'"The LORD bless you and keep you;

25  the LORD make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you;

26 the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace."'

DEU 10:8 At that time the LORD set apart the tribe of Levi to carry the
ark of the covenant of the LORD, to stand before the LORD to minister and
to pronounce blessings in his name, as they still do today.

11:29 When the LORD your God has brought you into the land you are
entering to possess, you are to proclaim on Mount Gerizim the blessings,
and on Mount Ebal the curses.

30 As you know, these mountains are across the Jordan, west of the road,
toward the setting sun, near the great trees of Moreh, in the territory of
those Canaanites living in the Arabah in the vicinity of Gilgal.

21:5 The priests, the sons of Levi, shall step forward, for the LORD your
God has chosen them to minister and to pronounce blessings in the name of
the LORD and to decide all cases of dispute and assault.

27:11 On the same day Moses commanded the people:

12 When you have crossed the Jordan, these tribes shall stand on Mount
Gerizim to bless the people: Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Joseph and
Benjamin.

13 And these tribes shall stand on Mount Ebal to pronounce curses: Reuben,
Gad, Asher, Zebulun, Dan and Naphtali.

33:1 This is the blessing that Moses the man of God pronounced on the
Israelites before his death.

JOS 8:33 All Israel, aliens and citizens alike, with their elders,
officials and judges, were standing on both sides of the ark of the
covenant of the LORD, facing those who carried it--the priests, who were
Levites. Half of the people stood in front of Mount Gerizim and half of
them in front of Mount Ebal, as Moses the servant of the LORD had formerly
commanded when he gave instructions to bless the people of Israel.

14:13 Then Joshua blessed Caleb son of Jephunneh and gave him Hebron as
his inheritance.

22:6 Then Joshua blessed them and sent them away, and they went to their
homes.

7 (To the half-tribe of Manasseh Moses had given land in Bashan, and to
the other half of the tribe Joshua gave land on the west side of the Jordan
with their brothers.) When Joshua sent them home, he blessed them,

RTH 1:8 Then Naomi said to her two daughters-in-law, "Go back, each of
you, to your mother's home. May the LORD show kindness to you, as you have
shown to your dead and to me.

9 May the LORD grant that each of you will find rest in the home of
another husband." Then she kissed them and they wept aloud

4:11 Then the elders and all those at the gate said, "We are witnesses.
May the LORD make the woman who is coming into your home like Rachel and
Leah, who together built up the house of Israel. May you have standing in
Ephrathah and be famous in Bethlehem.

12 Through the offspring the LORD gives you by this young woman, may your
family be like that of Perez, whom Tamar bore to Judah."

1SA 2:20 Eli would bless Elkanah and his wife, saying, "May the LORD give
you children by this woman to take the place of the one she prayed for and
gave to the LORD." Then they would go home.

2SA 6:18 After he had finished sacrificing the burnt offerings and
fellowship offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD
Almighty.

19:39 So all the people crossed the Jordan, and then the king crossed
over. The king kissed Barzillai and gave him his blessing, and Barzillai
returned to his home.

24:23 O king, Araunah gives all this to the king." Araunah also said to
him, "May the LORD your God accept you."

1KI 8:14 While the whole assembly of Israel was standing there, the king
turned around and blessed them.

55 He stood and blessed the whole assembly of Israel in a loud voice,
saying:

56 "Praise be to the LORD, who has given rest to his people Israel just as
he promised. Not one word has failed of all the good promises he gave
through his servant Moses.

57 May the LORD our God be with us as he was with our fathers; may he
never leave us nor forsake us.

58 May he turn our hearts to him, to walk in all his ways and to keep the
commands, decrees and regulations he gave our fathers.

2CH 6:3 While the whole assembly of Israel was standing there, the king
turned around and blessed them.

LUK 2:34 Then Simeon blessed them and said to Mary, his mother: "This
child is destined to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel, and to
be a sign that will be spoken against,
