CONFESSION

Taken from the HOLY BIBLE: NEW INTERNATIONAL VERSION (C) 1978 by the New
York Bible Society, used by permission of Zondervan Bible Publishers.

MAT 3:11 "I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me will come
one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not fit to carry. He
will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.

7:21 "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of
heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

22 Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in
your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?'

23 Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you
evildoers!'

10:32 "Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him
before my Father in heaven.

33 But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father
in heaven.

LUK 12:8 "I tell you, whoever acknowledges me before men, the Son of Man
will also acknowledge him before the angels of God.

JOH 1:15 John testifies concerning him. He cries out, saying, "This was he
of whom I said, 'He who comes after me has surpassed me because he was
before me.'"

16 From the fullness of his grace we have all received one blessing after
another.

17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus
Christ.

18 No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, who is at the
Father's side, has made him known.

9:22 His parents said this because they were afraid of the Jews, for
already the Jews had decided that anyone who acknowledged that Jesus was
the Christ would be put out of the synagogue.

23 That was why his parents said, "He is of age; ask him."

24 A second time they summoned the man who had been blind. "Give glory to
God," they said. "We know this man is a sinner."

25 He replied, "Whether he is a sinner or not, I don't know. One thing I
do know. I was blind but now I see!"

26 Then they asked him, "What did he do to you? How did he open your
eyes?"

27 He answered, "I have told you already and you did not listen. Why do
you want to hear it again? Do you want to become his disciples, too?"

28 Then they hurled insults at him and said, "You are this fellow's
disciple! We are disciples of Moses!

29 We know that God spoke to Moses, but as for this fellow, we don't even
know where he comes from."

30 The man answered, "Now that is remarkable! You don't know where he
comes from, yet he opened my eyes.

31 We know that God does not listen to sinners. He listens to the godly
man who does his will.

32 Nobody has ever heard of opening the eyes of a man born blind.

33 If this man were not from God, he could do nothing."

34 To this they replied, "You were steeped in sin at birth; how dare you
lecture us!" And they threw him out.

35 Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, and when he found him, he
said, "Do you believe in the Son of Man?"

36 "Who is he, sir?" the man asked. "Tell me so that I may believe in
him."

37 Jesus said, "You have now seen him; in fact, he is the one speaking
with you."

38 Then the man said, "Lord, I believe," and he worshiped him.

12:42 Yet at the same time many even among the leaders believed in him.
But because of the Pharisees they would not confess their faith for fear
they would be put out of the synagogue;

43 for they loved praise from men more than praise from God.

ACT 8:35 Then Philip began with that very passage of Scripture and told
him the good news about Jesus.

36 As they traveled along the road, they came to some water and the eunuch
said, "Look, here is water. Why shouldn't I be baptized?"

37

18:5 When Silas and Timothy came from Macedonia, Paul devoted himself
exclusively to preaching, testifying to the Jews that Jesus was the Christ.

19:4 Paul said, "John's baptism was a baptism of repentance. He told the
people to believe in the one coming after him, that is, in Jesus."

5 On hearing this, they were baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus.

ROM 10:9 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe
in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is
with your mouth that you confess and are saved.

11 As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to
shame."

1CO 12:3 Therefore I tell you that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of
God says, "Jesus be cursed," and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by
the Holy Spirit.

1JO 1:6 If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness,
we lie and do not live by the truth.

2:4 The man who says, "I know him," but does not do what he commands is a
liar, and the truth is not in him.

4:2 This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that
acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God,

3 but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This
is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even
now is already in the world.

15 If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him
and he in God.
