FRIENDSHIP
Taken from the HOLY BIBLE: NEW INTERNATIONAL VERSION (C) 1978 by the New
York Bible Society, used by permission of Zondervan Bible Publishers.
PRO 17:17 A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for
adversity.
18:24 A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who
sticks closer than a brother.
22:24 Do not make friends with a hot-tempered man, do not associate with
one easily angered,
27:6 Wounds from a friend can be trusted, but an enemy multiplies kisses.
9 Perfume and incense bring joy to the heart, and the pleasantness of
one's friend springs from his earnest counsel.
10 Do not forsake your friend and the friend of your father, and do not go
to your brother's house when disaster strikes you-- better a neighbor
nearby than a brother far away.
17 As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.
ECC 4:9 Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their
work:
10 If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who
falls and has no one to help him up!
11 Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one
keep warm alone?
12 Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of
three strands is not quickly broken.
AMO 3:3 Do two walk together unless they have agreed to do so?
JOH 15:13 Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for
his friends.
14 You are my friends if you do what I command.
15 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his
master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that
I learned from my Father I have made known to you.
