JESUS (PART 1)

Taken from the HOLY BIBLE: NEW INTERNATIONAL VERSION (C) 1978 by the New
York Bible Society, used by permission of Zondervan Bible Publishers.

ISA 40:11 He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his
arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have
young.

42:3 A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not
snuff out. In faithfulness he will bring forth justice;

63:9 In all their distress he too was distressed, and the angel of his
presence saved them. In his love and mercy he redeemed them; he lifted them
up and carried them all the days of old.

MAT 8:3 Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. "I am willing," he
said. "Be clean!" Immediately he was cured of his leprosy.

16 When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to him,
and he drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick.

17 This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: "He
took up our infirmities and carried our diseases."

9:36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were
harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.

14:14 When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them
and healed their sick.

15:32 Jesus called his disciples to him and said, "I have compassion for
these people; they have already been with me three days and have nothing to
eat. I do not want to send them away hungry, or they may collapse on the
way."

18:11

12 "What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them
wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look
for the one that wandered off?

13 And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he is happier about that one
sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off.

20:34 Jesus had compassion on them and touched their eyes. Immediately
they received their sight and followed him.

23:37 "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those
sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a
hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing.

MAR 6:34 When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on
them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. So he began teaching
them many things.

8:2 "I have compassion for these people; they have already been with me
three days and have nothing to eat.

3 If I send them home hungry, they will collapse on the way, because some
of them have come a long distance."

LUK 7:13 When the Lord saw her, his heart went out to her and he said,
"Don't cry."

19:41 As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it

42 and said, "If you, even you, had only known on this day what would
bring you peace--but now it is hidden from your eyes.

JOH 11:34 "Where have you laid him?" he asked. "Come and see, Lord," they
replied.

35 Jesus wept.

36 Then the Jews said, "See how he loved him!"

37 But some of them said, "Could not he who opened the eyes of the blind
man have kept this man from dying?"

38 Jesus, once more deeply moved, came to the tomb. It was a cave with a
stone laid across the entrance.

18:8 "I told you that I am he," Jesus answered. "If you are looking for
me, then let these men go."

9 This happened so that the words he had spoken would be fulfilled: "I
have not lost one of those you gave me."

2CO 8:9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he
was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that you through his
poverty might become rich.

HEB 4:15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with
our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as
we are--yet was without sin.
