JESUS (PART 4)

York Bible Society, used by permission of Zondervan Bible Publishers.

GEN 3:15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your
offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel."

DEU 18:15 The LORD your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from
among your own brothers. You must listen to him.

16 For this is what you asked of the LORD your God at Horeb on the day of
the assembly when you said, "Let us not hear the voice of the LORD our God
nor see this great fire anymore, or we will die."

17 The LORD said to me: "What they say is good.

18  I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers;
I will put my words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I
command him.

19 If anyone does not listen to my words that the prophet speaks in my
name, I myself will call him to account.

PSA 22:22 I will declare your name to my brothers; in the congregation I
will praise you.

ISA 8:18 Here am I, and the children the LORD has given me. We are signs
and symbols in Israel from the LORD Almighty, who dwells on Mount Zion.

9:6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government
will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty
God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

DAN 7:13 "In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like
a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient
of Days and was led into his presence.

MAT 16:27 For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father's glory with
his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what he has
done.

28 I tell you the truth, some who are standing here will not taste death
before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom."

20:28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and
to give his life as a ransom for many."

30 Two blind men were sitting by the roadside, and when they heard that
Jesus was going by, they shouted, "Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!"

31 The crowd rebuked them and told them to be quiet, but they shouted all
the louder, "Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!"

21:9 The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted,
"Hosanna to the Son of David!" "Blessed is he who comes in the name of the
Lord!" "Hosanna in the highest!"

26:2 "As you know, the Passover is two days away--and the Son of Man will
be handed over to be crucified."

26 While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and
gave it to his disciples, saying, "Take and eat; this is my body."

27 Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying,
"Drink from it, all of you.

28 This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the
forgiveness of sins.

36 Then Jesus went with his disciples to a place called Gethsemane, and he
said to them, "Sit here while I go over there and pray."

37 He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee along with him, and he began
to be sorrowful and troubled.

38 Then he said to them, "My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point
of death. Stay here and keep watch with me."

39 Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed,
"My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I
will, but as you will."

40 Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. "Could you
men not keep watch with me for one hour?" he asked Peter.

41 "Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit
is willing, but the body is weak."

42 He went away a second time and prayed, "My Father, if it is not
possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be
done."

43 When he came back, he again found them sleeping, because their eyes
were heavy.

44 So he left them and went away once more and prayed the third time,
saying the same thing.

45 Then he returned to the disciples and said to them, "Are you still
sleeping and resting? Look, the hour is near, and the Son of Man is
betrayed into the hands of sinners.

64 "Yes, it is as you say," Jesus replied. "But I say to all of you: In
the future you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the
Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven."

MAR 2:28 So the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath."

9:9 As they were coming down the mountain, Jesus gave them orders not to
tell anyone what they had seen until the Son of Man had risen from the
dead.

12 Jesus replied, "To be sure, Elijah does come first, and restores all
things. Why then is it written that the Son of Man must suffer much and be
rejected?

10:33 "We are going up to Jerusalem," he said, "and the Son of Man will be
betrayed to the chief priests and teachers of the law. They will condemn
him to death and will hand him over to the Gentiles,

45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to
give his life as a ransom for many."

14:21 The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him. But woe to
that man who betrays the Son of Man! It would be better for him if he had
not been born."

62 "I am," said Jesus. "And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the
right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven."

LUK 2:11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is
Christ the Lord.

12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and
lying in a manger."

13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel,
praising God and saying,

14 "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his
favor rests."

5:24 But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to
forgive sins...." He said to the paralyzed man, "I tell you, get up, take
your mat and go home."

17:22 Then he said to his disciples, "The time is coming when you will
long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, but you will not see it.

24 For the Son of Man in his day will be like the lightning, which flashes
and lights up the sky from one end to the other.

18:31 Jesus took the Twelve aside and told them, "We are going up to
Jerusalem, and everything that is written by the prophets about the Son of
Man will be fulfilled.

19:10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost."

21:36 Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all
that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son
of Man."

22:48 but Jesus asked him, "Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a
kiss?"

69 But from now on, the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the
mighty God."

JOH 5:27 And he has given him authority to judge because he is the Son of
Man.

12:34 The crowd spoke up, "We have heard from the Law that the Christ will
remain forever, so how can you say, 'The Son of Man must be lifted up'? Who
is this 'Son of Man'?"

13:31 When he was gone, Jesus said, "Now is the Son of Man glorified and
God is glorified in him.

ACT 7:56 "Look," he said, "I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing
at the right hand of God."

17:31 For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by
the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to all men by raising
him from the dead."

GAL 4:4 But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a
woman, born under law,

PHI 2:7 but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant,
being made in human likeness.

8 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became
obedient to death-- even death on a cross!

1TI 2:5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man
Christ Jesus,

HEB 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, now
crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the
grace of God he might taste death for everyone.

10 In bringing many sons to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and
through whom everything exists, should make the author of their salvation
perfect through suffering.

14 Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their
humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of
death--that is, the devil--

15 and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear
of death.

16 For surely it is not angels he helps, but Abraham's descendants.

17 For this reason he had to be made like his brothers in every way, in
order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service
to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people.

18 Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help
those who are being tempted.

10:12 But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for
sins, he sat down at the right hand of God.

1JO 4:2 This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that
acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God,

3 but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This
is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even
now is already in the world.

2JO 1:7 Many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in
the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver
and the antichrist.

REV 1:13 and among the lampstands was someone "like a son of man," dressed
in a robe reaching down to his feet and with a golden sash around his
chest.

14:14 I looked, and there before me was a white cloud, and seated on the
cloud was one "like a son of man" with a crown of gold on his head and a
sharp sickle in his hand.
