JESUS (PART 7)
Taken from the HOLY BIBLE: NEW INTERNATIONAL VERSION (C) 1978 by the New
York Bible Society, used by permission of Zondervan Bible Publishers.
PSA 40:8 I desire to do your will, O my God; your law is within my heart."
ISA 11:5 Righteousness will be his belt and faithfulness the sash around
his waist.
42:21 It pleased the LORD for the sake of his righteousness to make his
law great and glorious.
50:5 The Sovereign LORD has opened my ears, and I have not been
rebellious; I have not drawn back.
6 I offered my back to those who beat me, my cheeks to those who pulled
out my beard; I did not hide my face from mocking and spitting.
MAT 3:15 Jesus replied, "Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this
to fulfill all righteousness." Then John consented.
26:39 Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and
prayed, "My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet
not as I will, but as you will."
42 He went away a second time and prayed, "My Father, if it is not
possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be
done."
LUK 2:49 "Why were you searching for me?" he asked. "Didn't you know I had
to be in my Father's house?"
JOH 4:34 "My food," said Jesus, "is to do the will of him who sent me and
to finish his work.
5:30 By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgment
is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who sent me.
36 "I have testimony weightier than that of John. For the very work that
the Father has given me to finish, and which I am doing, testifies that the
Father has sent me.
6:38 For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will
of him who sent me.
7:18 He who speaks on his own does so to gain honor for himself, but he
who works for the honor of the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is
nothing false about him.
8:29 The one who sent me is with me; he has not left me alone, for I
always do what pleases him."
46 Can any of you prove me guilty of sin? If I am telling the truth, why
don't you believe me?
55 Though you do not know him, I know him. If I said I did not, I would be
a liar like you, but I do know him and keep his word.
9:4 As long as it is day, we must do the work of him who sent me. Night is
coming, when no one can work.
14:31 but the world must learn that I love the Father and that I do
exactly what my Father has commanded me. "Come now; let us leave.
15:10 If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have
obeyed my Father's commands and remain in his love.
17:4 I have brought you glory on earth by completing the work you gave me
to do.
19:30 When he had received the drink, Jesus said, "It is finished." With
that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
PHI 2:8 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and
became obedient to death-- even death on a cross!
HEB 9:8 The Holy Spirit was showing by this that the way into the Most
Holy Place had not yet been disclosed as long as the first tabernacle was
still standing.
10:7 Then I said, 'Here I am--it is written about me in the scroll--I have
come to do your will, O God.'"
8 First he said, "Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin
offerings you did not desire, nor were you pleased with them" (although the
law required them to be made).
9 Then he said, "Here I am, I have come to do your will." He sets aside
the first to establish the second.
