LEV 26:40 "'But if they will confess their sins and the sins of their
fathers--their treachery against me and their hostility toward me,
41 which made me hostile toward them so that I sent them into the land of
their enemies--then when their uncircumcised hearts are humbled and they
pay for their sin,
42 I will remember my covenant with Jacob and my covenant with Isaac and
my covenant with Abraham, and I will remember the land.
NUM 5:6 "Say to the Israelites: 'When a man or woman wrongs another in any
way and so is unfaithful to the LORD, that person is guilty
7 and must confess the sin he has committed. He must make full restitution
for his wrong, add one fifth to it and give it all to the person he has
wronged.
DEU 4:29 But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him
if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul.
30 When you are in distress and all these things have happened to you,
then in later days you will return to the LORD your God and obey him.
31 For the LORD your God is a merciful God; he will not abandon or destroy
you or forget the covenant with your forefathers, which he confirmed to
them by oath.
5:29 Oh, that their hearts would be inclined to fear me and keep all my
commands always, so that it might go well with them and their children
forever!
30:1 When all these blessings and curses I have set before you come upon
you and you take them to heart wherever the LORD your God disperses you
among the nations,
2 and when you and your children return to the LORD your God and obey him
with all your heart and with all your soul according to everything I
command you today,
3 then the LORD your God will restore your fortunes and have compassion on
you and gather you again from all the nations where he scattered you.
4 Even if you have been banished to the most distant land under the
heavens, from there the LORD your God will gather you and bring you back.
5 He will bring you to the land that belonged to your fathers, and you
will take possession of it. He will make you more prosperous and numerous
than your fathers.
6 The LORD your God will circumcise your hearts and the hearts of your
descendants, so that you may love him with all your heart and with all your
soul, and live.
7 The LORD your God will put all these curses on your enemies who hate and
persecute you.
8 You will again obey the LORD and follow all his commands I am giving you
today.
9 Then the LORD your God will make you most prosperous in all the work of
your hands and in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and
the crops of your land. The LORD will again delight in you and make you
prosperous, just as he delighted in your fathers,
10 if you obey the LORD your God and keep his commands and decrees that
are written in this Book of the Law and turn to the LORD your God with all
your heart and with all your soul.
2KI 22:19 Because your heart was responsive and you humbled yourself
before the LORD when you heard what I have spoken against this place and
its people, that they would become accursed and laid waste, and because you
tore your robes and wept in my presence, I have heard you, declares the
LORD.
1CH 28:9 "And you, my son Solomon, acknowledge the God of your father, and
serve him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the LORD
searches every heart and understands every motive behind the thoughts. If
you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will
reject you forever.
JOB 22:23 If you return to the Almighty, you will be restored: If you
remove wickedness far from your tent
24 and assign your nuggets to the dust, your gold of Ophir to the rocks in
the ravines,
25 then the Almighty will be your gold, the choicest silver for you.
26 Surely then you will find delight in the Almighty and will lift up your
face to God.
27 You will pray to him, and he will hear you, and you will fulfill your
vows.
28 What you decide on will be done, and light will shine on your ways.
29 When men are brought low and you say, 'Lift them up!' then he will save
the downcast.
23:6 Would he oppose me with great power? No, he would not press charges
against me.
33:26 He prays to God and finds favor with him, he sees God's face and
shouts for joy; he is restored by God to his righteous state.
27 Then he comes to men and says, 'I sinned, and perverted what was right,
but I did not get what I deserved.
28 He redeemed my soul from going down to the pit, and I will live to
enjoy the light.'
PSA 6:8 Away from me, all you who do evil, for the LORD has heard my
weeping.
9 The LORD has heard my cry for mercy; the LORD accepts my prayer.
9:10 Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, LORD, have never
forsaken those who seek you.
22:26 The poor will eat and be satisfied; they who seek the LORD will
praise him--may your hearts live forever!
24:3 Who may ascend the hill of the LORD? Who may stand in his holy place?
4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul
to an idol or swear by what is false.
5 He will receive blessing from the LORD and vindication from God his
Savior.
6 Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face, O God
of Jacob. Selah
32:5 Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I
said, "I will confess my transgressions to the LORD"--and you forgave the
guilt of my sin. Selah
6 Therefore let everyone who is godly pray to you while you may be found;
surely when the mighty waters rise, they will not reach him.
34:18 The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are
crushed in spirit.
51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite
heart, O God, you will not despise.
70:4 But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; may those who
love your salvation always say, "Let God be exalted!"
90:14 Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing
for joy and be glad all our days.
15 Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us, for as many
years as we have seen trouble.
145:18 The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in
truth.
19 He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and
saves them.
147:3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
ISA 27:5 Or else let them come to me for refuge; let them make peace with
me, yes, let them make peace with me."
EZE 18:21 "But if a wicked man turns away from all the sins he has
committed and keeps all my decrees and does what is just and right, he will
surely live; he will not die.
22 None of the offenses he has committed will be remembered against him.
Because of the righteous things he has done, he will live.
23 Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? declares the
Sovereign LORD. Rather, am I not pleased when they turn from their ways and
live?
MAT 5:4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
6:14 For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly
Father will also forgive you.
15 But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive
your sins.
7:7 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and
the door will be opened to you.
8 For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who
knocks, the door will be opened.
9 "Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?
10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake?
11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your
children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those
who ask him!
11:28 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you
rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in
heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
12:20 A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not
snuff out, till he leads justice to victory.
31 And so I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but
the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.
LUK 4:18 "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to
preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the
prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed,
6:37 "Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you
will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
15:4 "Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Does
he not leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost
sheep until he finds it?
5 And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders
6 and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and
says, 'Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.'
7 I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven
over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do
not need to repent.
8 "Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one. Does she not
light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it?
9 And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and
says, 'Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.'
10 In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the
angels of God over one sinner who repents."
11 Jesus continued: "There was a man who had two sons.
12 The younger one said to his father, 'Father, give me my share of the
estate.' So he divided his property between them.
13 "Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off
for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living.
14 After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole
country, and he began to be in need.
15 So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent
him to his fields to feed pigs.
16 He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating,
but no one gave him anything.
17 "When he came to his senses, he said, 'How many of my father's hired
men have food to spare, and here I am starving to death!
18 I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have
sinned against heaven and against you.
19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your
hired men.'
20 So he got up and went to his father. "But while he was still a long way
off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to
his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.
21 "The son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and against
you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.'
22 "But the father said to his servants, 'Quick! Bring the best robe and
put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet.
23 Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let's have a feast and celebrate.
24 For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is
found.' So they began to celebrate.
25 "Meanwhile, the older son was in the field. When he came near the
house, he heard music and dancing.
26 So he called one of the servants and asked him what was going on.
27 'Your brother has come,' he replied, 'and your father has killed the
fattened calf because he has him back safe and sound.'
28 "The older brother became angry and refused to go in. So his father
went out and pleaded with him.
29 But he answered his father, 'Look! All these years I've been slaving
for you and never disobeyed your orders. Yet you never gave me even a young
goat so I could celebrate with my friends.
30 But when this son of yours who has squandered your property with
prostitutes comes home, you kill the fattened calf for him!'
31 "'My son,' the father said, 'you are always with me, and everything I
have is yours.
32 But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was
dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.'"
18:10 "Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other
a tax collector.
11 The Pharisee stood up and prayed about himself: 'God, I thank you that
I am not like other men--robbers, evildoers, adulterers--or even like this
tax collector.
12 I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.'
13 "But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up
to heaven, but beat his breast and said, 'God, have mercy on me, a sinner.'
14 "I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified
before God. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who
humbles himself will be exalted."
JOH 6:37 All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes
to me I will never drive away.
10:9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come
in and go out, and find pasture.
ACT 13:38 "Therefore, my brothers, I want you to know that through Jesus
the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you.
39 Through him everyone who believes is justified from everything you
could not be justified from by the law of Moses.
ROM 10:9 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe
in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is
with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
11 As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to
shame."
12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile--the same Lord is
Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him,
13 for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
1JO 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive
us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
