GEN 14:20  And blessed be God Most High, who delivered your enemies into 
your hand." Then Abram gave him a tenth of everything.

EXO 15:1  Then Moses and the Israelites sang this song to the LORD: "I will 
sing to the LORD, for he is highly exalted. The horse and its rider he has 
hurled into the sea.

2  The LORD is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. He is 
my God, and I will praise him, my father's God, and I will exalt him.

3  The LORD is a warrior; the LORD is his name.

4  Pharaoh's chariots and his army he has hurled into the sea. The best of 
Pharaoh's officers are drowned in the Red Sea.

5  The deep waters have covered them; they sank to the depths like a stone.

6  "Your right hand, O LORD, was majestic in power. Your right hand, O 
LORD, shattered the enemy.

7  In the greatness of your majesty you threw down those who opposed you. 
You unleashed your burning anger; it consumed them like stubble.

8  By the blast of your nostrils the waters piled up. The surging waters 
stood firm like a wall; the deep waters congealed in the heart of the sea.

9  "The enemy boasted, 'I will pursue, I will overtake them. I will divide 
the spoils; I will gorge myself on them. I will draw my sword and my hand 
will destroy them.'

10  But you blew with your breath, and the sea covered them. They sank like 
lead in the mighty waters.

11  "Who among the gods is like you, O LORD? Who is like you-- majestic in 
holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders?

12  You stretched out your right hand and the earth swallowed them.

13  "In your unfailing love you will lead the people you have redeemed. In 
your strength you will guide them to your holy dwelling.

14  The nations will hear and tremble; anguish will grip the people of 
Philistia.

15  The chiefs of Edom will be terrified, the leaders of Moab will be 
seized with trembling, the people of Canaan will melt away;

16  terror and dread will fall upon them. By the power of your arm they 
will be as still as a stone-- until your people pass by, O LORD, until the 
people you bought pass by.

17  You will bring them in and plant them on the mountain of your 
inheritance--the place, O LORD, you made for your dwelling, the sanctuary, 
O Lord, your hands established.

18  The LORD will reign for ever and ever."

19  When Pharaoh's horses, chariots and horsemen went into the sea, the 
LORD brought the waters of the sea back over them, but the Israelites 
walked through the sea on dry ground.

21  Miriam sang to them: "Sing to the LORD, for he is highly exalted. The 
horse and its rider he has hurled into the sea."

DEU 10:21  He is your praise; he is your God, who performed for you those 
great and awesome wonders you saw with your own eyes.

2SA 22:1  David sang to the LORD the words of this song when the LORD 
delivered him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul.

2  He said: "The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer;

3  my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my 
salvation. He is my stronghold, my refuge and my savior--from violent men 
you save me.

4  I call to the LORD, who is worthy of praise, and I am saved from my 
enemies.

1CH 16:8  Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known among the 
nations what he has done.

9  Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts.

10  Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD 
rejoice.

11  Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always.

23  Sing to the LORD, all the earth; proclaim his salvation day after day.

24  Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all 
peoples.

25  For great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared 
above all gods.

26  For all the gods of the nations are idols, but the LORD made the 
heavens.

27  Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and joy in his dwelling 
place.

28  Ascribe to the LORD, O families of nations, ascribe to the LORD glory 
and strength,

29  ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name. Bring an offering and come 
before him; worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness.

30  Tremble before him, all the earth! The world is firmly established; it 
cannot be moved.

31  Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let them say among the 
nations, "The LORD reigns!"

32  Let the sea resound, and all that is in it; let the fields be jubilant, 
and everything in them!

33  Then the trees of the forest will sing, they will sing for joy before 
the LORD, for he comes to judge the earth.

34  Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.

35  Cry out, "Save us, O God our Savior; gather us and deliver us from the 
nations, that we may give thanks to your holy name, that we may glory in 
your praise."

36  Praise be to the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to

23:30  They were also to stand every morning to thank and praise the LORD.

29:10  David praised the LORD in the presence of the whole assembly, 
saying, "Praise be to you, O LORD, God of our father Israel, from

11  Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the 
majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. 
Yours, O LORD, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all.

12  Wealth and honor come from you; you are the ruler of all things. In

Our days on earth are like a shadow, without hope.

16  O LORD our God, as for all this abundance that we have provided for 
building you a temple for your Holy Name, it comes from your hand, and all 
of it belongs to you.

17  I know, my God, that you test the heart and are pleased with integrity. 
All these things have I given willingly and with honest intent. And now I 
have seen with joy how willingly your people who are here have given to 
you.

18  O LORD, God of our fathers Abraham, Isaac and Israel, keep this desire 
in the hearts of your people forever, and keep their hearts loyal to you.

19  And give my son Solomon the wholehearted devotion to keep your 
commands, requirements and decrees and to do everything to build the 
palatial structure for which I have provided."

2CH 5:13  The trumpeters and singers joined in unison, as with one voice, 
to give praise and thanks to the LORD. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals and 
other instruments, they raised their voices in praise to the LORD and sang: 
"He is good; his love endures forever." Then the temple of the LORD was 
filled with a cloud,

7:3  When all the Israelites saw the fire coming down and the glory of the 
LORD above the temple, they knelt on the pavement with their faces to the 
ground, and they worshiped and gave thanks to the LORD, saying, "He is 
good; his love endures forever."

NEH 9:5  And the Levites--Jeshua, Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabneiah, Sherebiah, 
Hodiah, Shebaniah and Pethahiah--said: "Stand up and praise the LORD your 
God, who is from everlasting to everlasting." "Blessed be your glorious

6  You alone are the LORD. You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, 
and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and 
all that is in them. You give life to everything, and the multitudes of

JOB 36:24  Remember to extol his work, which men have praised in song.

38:7  while the morning stars sang together and all the angels shouted for 
joy?

PSA 7:17  I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness and 
will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.

8:2  From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise because 
of your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger.

fingers for battle.

2  He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my

your mighty acts.

5  They will speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty, and I will

6  They will tell of the power of your awesome works, and I will proclaim 
your great deeds.

7  They will celebrate your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of your 
righteousness.

8  The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love.

9  The LORD is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made.

10  All you have made will praise you, O LORD; your saints will extol you.

11  They will tell of the glory of your kingdom and speak of your might,

12  so that all men may know of your mighty acts and the glorious splendor 
of your kingdom.

13  Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures 
through all generations. The LORD is faithful to all his promises and 
loving toward all he has made.

14  The LORD upholds all those who fall and lifts up all who are bowed 
down.

15  The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food at the proper 
time.

16  You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing.

17  The LORD is righteous in all his ways and loving toward all he has 
made.

18  The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in 
truth.

19  He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and 
saves them.

20  The LORD watches over all who love him, but all the wicked he will 
destroy.

21  My mouth will speak in praise of the LORD. Let every creature praise 
his holy name for ever and ever.

146:1  Praise the LORD. Praise the LORD, O my soul.

2  I will praise the LORD all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long 
as I live.

3  Do not put your trust in princes, in mortal men, who cannot save.

4  When their spirit departs, they return to the ground; on that very day 
their plans come to nothing.

5  Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD 
his God,

6  the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them--the 
LORD, who remains faithful forever.

7  He upholds the cause of the oppressed and gives food to the hungry. The 
LORD sets prisoners free,

8  the LORD gives sight to the blind, the LORD lifts up those who are bowed 
down, the LORD loves the righteous.

9  The LORD watches over the alien and sustains the fatherless and the 
widow, but he frustrates the ways of the wicked.

10  The LORD reigns forever, your God, O Zion, for all generations. Praise 
the LORD.

147:1  Praise the LORD. How good it is to sing praises to our God, how 
pleasant and fitting to praise him!

2  The LORD builds up Jerusalem; he gathers the exiles of Israel.

3  He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

4  He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name.

5  Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit.

6  The LORD sustains the humble but casts the wicked to the ground.

7  Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving; make music to our God on the harp.

8  He covers the sky with clouds; he supplies the earth with rain and makes 
grass grow on the hills.

9  He provides food for the cattle and for the young ravens when they call.

10  His pleasure is not in the strength of the horse, nor his delight in 
the legs of a man;

11  the LORD delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his 
unfailing love.

12  Extol the LORD, O Jerusalem; praise your God, O Zion,

13  for he strengthens the bars of your gates and blesses your people 
within you.

14  He grants peace to your borders and satisfies you with the finest of 
wheat.

15  He sends his command to the earth; his word runs swiftly.

16  He spreads the snow like wool and scatters the frost like ashes.

17  He hurls down his hail like pebbles. Who can withstand his icy blast?

18  He sends his word and melts them; he stirs up his breezes, and the 
waters flow.

19  He has revealed his word to Jacob, his laws and decrees to Israel.

148:1  Praise the LORD. Praise the LORD from the heavens, praise him in the 
heights above.

2  Praise him, all his angels, praise him, all his heavenly hosts.

3  Praise him, sun and moon, praise him, all you shining stars.

4  Praise him, you highest heavens and you waters above the skies.

5  Let them praise the name of the LORD, for he commanded and they were 
created.

6  He set them in place for ever and ever; he gave a decree that will never 
pass away.

7  Praise the LORD from the earth, you great sea creatures and all ocean 
depths,

8  lightning and hail, snow and clouds, stormy winds that do his bidding,

9  you mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars,

10  wild animals and all cattle, small creatures and flying birds,

11  kings of the earth and all nations, you princes and all rulers on 
earth,

12  young men and maidens, old men and children.

13  Let them praise the name of the LORD, for his name alone is exalted; 
his splendor is above the earth and the heavens.

14  He has raised up for his people a horn, the praise of all his saints, 
of Israel, the people close to his heart. Praise the LORD.

149:1  Praise the LORD. Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise in the 
assembly of the saints.

2  Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; let the people of Zion be glad in 
their King.

3  Let them praise his name with dancing and make music to him with 
tambourine and harp.

4  For the LORD takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with 
salvation.

5  Let the saints rejoice in this honor and sing for joy on their beds.

6  May the praise of God be in their mouths and a double-edged sword in 
their hands,

7  to inflict vengeance on the nations and punishment on the peoples,

8  to bind their kings with fetters, their nobles with shackles of iron,

9  to carry out the sentence written against them. This is the glory of all 
his saints. Praise the LORD.

150:1  Praise the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his 
mighty heavens.

2  Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing 
greatness.

ISA 6:3  And they were calling to one another: "Holy, holy, holy is the 
LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory."

were angry with me, your anger has turned away and you have comforted me.

2  Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The LORD, 
the LORD, is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation."

3  With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.

5  Sing to the LORD, for he has done glorious things; let this be known to

of Israel among you."

24:14  They raise their voices, they shout for joy; from the west they 
acclaim the LORD'S majesty.

15  Therefore in the east give glory to the LORD; exalt the name of the 
LORD, the God of Israel, in the islands of the sea.

16  From the ends of the earth we hear singing: "Glory to the Righteous 
One." But I said, "I waste away, I waste away! Woe to me! The treacherous 
betray! With treachery the treacherous betray!"

25:1  O LORD, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in 
perfect faithfulness you have done marvelous things, things planned long 
ago.

35:10  and the ransomed of the LORD will return. They will enter Zion with 
singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will 
overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.

38:18  For the grave cannot praise you, death cannot sing your praise; 
those who go down to the pit cannot hope for your faithfulness.

19  The living, the living--they praise you, as I am doing today; fathers 
tell their children about your faithfulness.

42:10  Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise from the ends of the earth, 
you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it, you islands, and all who 
live in them.

11  Let the desert and its towns raise their voices; let the settlements 
where Kedar lives rejoice. Let the people of Sela sing for joy; let them 
shout from the mountaintops.

12  Let them give glory to the LORD and proclaim his praise in the islands.

43:21  the people I formed for myself that they may proclaim my praise.

49:13  Shout for joy, O heavens; rejoice, O earth; burst into song, O 
mountains! For the LORD comforts his people and will have compassion on his 
afflicted ones.

51:3  The LORD will surely comfort Zion and will look with compassion on 
all her ruins; he will make her deserts like Eden, her wastelands like the 
garden of the LORD. Joy and gladness will be found in her, thanksgiving and 
the sound of singing.

52:7  How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good 
news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, 
who say to Zion, "Your God reigns!"

8  Listen! Your watchmen lift up their voices; together they shout for joy. 
When the LORD returns to Zion, they will see it with their own eyes.

9  Burst into songs of joy together, you ruins of Jerusalem, for the LORD 
has comforted his people, he has redeemed Jerusalem.

10  The LORD will lay bare his holy arm in the sight of all the nations, 
and all the ends of the earth will see the salvation of our God.

61:3  and provide for those who grieve in Zion--to bestow on them a crown 
of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a 
garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks 
of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor.

JER 31:7  This is what the LORD says: "Sing with joy for Jacob; shout for 
the foremost of the nations. Make your praises heard, and say, 'O LORD, 
save your people, the remnant of Israel.'

33:11  the sounds of joy and gladness, the voices of bride and bridegroom, 
and the voices of those who bring thank offerings to the house of the LORD, 
saying, "Give thanks to the LORD Almighty, for the LORD is good; his love 
endures forever." For I will restore the fortunes of the land as they were 
before,' says the LORD.

EZE 3:12  Then the Spirit lifted me up, and I heard behind me a loud 
rumbling sound--May the glory of the LORD be praised in his dwelling 
place!--

and power are his.

open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased 
men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation.

10  You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and 
they will reign on the earth."

11  Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands 
upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the 
throne and the living creatures and the elders.

12  In a loud voice they sang: "Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to 
receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and 
praise!"

13  Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth 
and on the sea, and all that is in them, singing: "To him who sits on the 
throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever 
and ever!"

14  The four living creatures said, "Amen," and the elders fell down and 
worshiped.

7:9  After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no 
one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing 
before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes 
and were holding palm branches in their hands.

10  And they cried out in a loud voice: "Salvation belongs to our God, who 
sits on the throne, and to the Lamb."

11  All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders 
and the four living creatures. They fell down on their faces before the 
throne and worshiped God,

12  saying: "Amen! Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and 
power and strength be to our God for ever and ever. Amen!"

11:6  These men have power to shut up the sky so that it will not rain 
during the time they are prophesying; and they have power to turn the 
waters into blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague as 
often as they want.

17  saying: "We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty, the One who is and 
who was, because you have taken your great power and have begun to reign.

14:2  And I heard a sound from heaven like the roar of rushing waters and 
like a loud peal of thunder. The sound I heard was like that of harpists 
playing their harps.

3  And they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living 
creatures and the elders. No one could learn the song except the 144,000 
who had been redeemed from the earth.

7  He said in a loud voice, "Fear God and give him glory, because the hour 
of his judgment has come. Worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the 
sea and the springs of water."

15:3  and sang the song of Moses the servant of God and the song of the 
Lamb: "Great and marvelous are your deeds, Lord God Almighty. Just and true 
are your ways, King of the ages.

4  Who will not fear you, O Lord, and bring glory to your name? For you 
alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before you, for your 
righteous acts have been revealed."

19:1  After this I heard what sounded like the roar of a great multitude in 
heaven shouting: "Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our 
God,

2  for true and just are his judgments. He has condemned the great 
prostitute who corrupted the earth by her adulteries. He has avenged on her 
the blood of his servants."

3  And again they shouted: "Hallelujah! The smoke from her goes up for ever 
and ever."

4  The twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and 
worshiped God, who was seated on the throne. And they cried: "Amen, 
Hallelujah!"

5  Then a voice came from the throne, saying: "Praise our God, all you his 
servants, you who fear him, both small and great!"

6  Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude, like the roar of 
rushing waters and like loud peals of thunder, shouting: "Hallelujah! For 
our Lord God Almighty reigns.

7  Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the 
Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready.
