DID YOU KNOW THERE IS A REVIVAL GOING ON?

Regularly we hear on the evening news or read in our papers about
some bizarre occult oriented crime that results in sexual assault,
mutilation, torture, insanity, suicide or murder. Twenty years ago you
seldom heard such stories. What's going on? There is a world wide
revival going on today, particularly in North America and Western
Europe. But, before Christians say a hearty "AMEN," I must tell you
that the revival I am making reference to is a revival of occultism and
witchcraft. Millions of young people and adults are being exposed to
"new" occult teachings and are becoming intoxicated with them without
realizing how dangerous many of these teachings can be and where
involvement may lead them. One report claims that 12,000,000 American
teenagers are involved in Satanism and witchcraft. Dr. Al Carlisle,
Ph.D., while with the Utah State Prison System, interviewed dozens of
people who were heavily involved in Satanism. As a result of that study
he estimates that there are likely thousands human sacrifices per year
in this country. When questioned about the number he admitted it was
only an estimate.

Human sacrifices are happening. Our organization has interviewed
those who have seen it happen. We have talked to law enforcement
officials who have investigated specific cases. Because of the
thoroughness of the crime, it is often hard to prove, but it is
happening!

Noted radio commentator, Paul Harvey stated, "...I had rather not
say what I am about to say but I'm afraid you couldn't appreciate the
urgency of this social cancer otherwise. Police and medical officials,
including psychiatrists of repute, believe that of all the missing
children in the state of California alone, of all so-called missing
children, one of five, twenty percent of them, have been eaten!!! Where
sacrificial children formerly were supplied by breeders within the cult
or coven, now they are sought in the streets." (From a 1987 Paul Harvey
news broadcast).

The average person might think, "that can't be true!" Or, "not in my
area!" Listen, THE DENIAL HAS TO STOP! Extensive research and ever
mounting evidence confirms there's BIG PROBLEMS. And let me warn you,
these problems are not just on the west coast or in the big cities. I
have interviewed law enforcement officials, investigated ritual sights
and counseled with survivors of ritual crime. Many of these things are
happening in rural communities in the Midwest.

I want to get the FILE #13 REPORT into the hands of law enforcement
personnel, educators, clergy, counselors and parents and here's why.
First, so they can warn others of the dangers and deceptions associated
with the cults and occult. Second, so they can discern signs of occult
involvement, ritual abuse and ritual crime and perhaps help the victims.

   SOME DEFINITIONS & DISTINCTIONS

OCCULT - The word "occult" comes from the Latin word "occultus"
which means secret, hidden or esoteric (private, understood only by a
few) knowledge and practices. Within the occult realm there are those
who mistakenly equate occult phenomena with "advanced science." Sybil
Leek affirms in her book Diary of a Witch, "I can see little difference
in Magic and science, except to have the opinion that Magic is one step
ahead of science." The Biblical view of the occult must be addressed
also. When the Bible makes reference to witchcraft it means anyone who
is involved in some form of occultic practice. Let's take a look at
them.

There are three basic divisions or categories that occult groups
fall into based on the prime focus of the practices of the specific
group. There are those who emphasize...

DIVINATION -- Seeking to know the past, present or future by
astrology; horoscopes; channeling; tarot; etc. This can include animal
or human sacrifice.

SORCERY or MAGIC(K) -- Seeking to control or manipulate reality to
accomplish your own desires by invoking invisible forces. This can
include animal or human sacrifice to accomplish that end. Books may
refer to this kind of magic as non-legerdemain magic and spell it
magick to distinguish if from kind of magic from legerdemain magic
(sleight-of-hand).

SPIRITISM -- Seeking to communicate with the dead or other entities
through a medium.

A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WITCHCRAFT & SATANISM?

First, witches would have you believe that there is a MAJOR
different between Satanism and witchcraft. In my estimation the
difference is MINOR. A practicing witch put it this way, "Satanism is
basically a reversion and perversion of Christian symbolism."
Witchcraft, on the other hand is not a reaction to Christianity but
pagan worship of the Mother Goddess and her consort the Horned God.
Witches (Wiccans) claim they don't even acknowledge Satan. But a former
Alexanderian Wiccan witch clarified this by stating, "as I got to the
higher degrees I learned that the name of the horned god was Lucifer. I
learned that the sign of the second degree was an inverted
pentagram...symbolizing the horns of Satan." (Quote from Devil Worship:
The Rise of Satanism, by Jeremiah films)

Though witches like to make a distinction between themselves and
Satanists, they do so by playing little word games masking the
connection between Lucifer and Satan. According to the Biblical account
Satan was originally named Lucifer before he chose to rebel against God
and usurp His throne (See Isaiah 14:12-20). It is easy to see that the
power behind Satanism and Witchcraft is the same regardless of the
little semantic games played.

But is does not end there. I have found that many of those who begin
in the non-violent forms of witchcraft end up being drawn into violent,
criminal occult practices. BEWARE!

   A MAJOR OCCULT HOLIDAY APRIL 30/MAY 1

April 30 is one of the two major sabbats for many occultists
(Halloween being the other). This day goes by several different names
-- May Eve, Walpurgisnacht and Roodmas. May 1 is called May Day,
Walpurgis Day, or Beltane. Satanists will perform blood rituals on
April 30 and offer animal or human sacrifices. A female between the age
of 1 and 25 are preferred. The sacrifice would likely have been
obtained (or kidnapped) and things prepared between April 21-26.

Many witches, pagans and neo-pagans practice fertility (sexual)
rituals to celebrate the fertility of the goddess, Mother earth and the
love between male and female. Pagan weddings are often performed then
(called hand-casting) as well as coven initiations. Those who follow
Druid traditions do many of the same things on Beltane (May 1) as well
as celebrate the Druidic fire festival.

   WHAT WITCHES BELIEVE

I have been researching the occult and witchcraft for over ten years
now. Within a short time I found that it was impossible to say ALL
witches believe these certain things. I appreciate the way Craig
Hawkins put it in his research article entitled "The Modern World of
Witchcraft" He said, "Contemporary witchcraft is so diverse and
eclectic that it is extremely difficult to accurately identify and
define."

Without a doubt his statement is true, but I have found that there
are recurring beliefs that most occult groups hold.

ANIMISM -- The belief that all objects (rocks, trees, wind, plants,
mountains etc.) are alive and have a soul.

PANTHEISM -- The belief that everything is divine (god). Divinity is
inseparable from and immanent in everything such as nature and
humanity. This is the basis for the self- deification and creation
worship of many occultists.

POLYTHEISM -- Belief in many deities (gods-goddesses). They also
stretch this to include believe in multi-levels of reality.

RELATIVISM -- The belief that there are no absolutes in any area of
life. There is no right or wrong morality, religion, etc. What is true
for you is true. What is right for you is right. You are the judge. The
only "absolute" is that there are no absolutes.

REINCARNATION -- The belief that the soul, upon the death of the
body, moves to another body or form.

These five beliefs are usually held in some form by most occult
groups.

   CATEGORIES OF OCCULT PRACTICE

There is great diversity within occult & satanic groups. Witches and
occultists disagree among themselves as to what constitutes a witch.
But researchers find that there are several distinguishable categories
into which occultists fit.

   1. DABBLERS -- They are experimenting or playing around with the
occult. They will read occult literature, draw occult signs on
themselves, their books and papers and if they become fascinated with
the power and privileges promised they will find or be recruited by the
next group.

   2. ECLECTIC or SELF-STYLED OCCULTISTS -- They have moved from the
dabbling stage into deeper involvement. They are developing their own
individualized occultic religion and developing personalized beliefs
and practices. This category is very dangerous.

   3. RELIGIOUS OCCULTIST -- These people openly belong to an official
occult group. Their group is often tax exempt and is protected by the
first amendment. They deny involvement in any criminal activity and
seek to present their beliefs as a legitimate religion. Lori Cabot
(official witch of Salem, Mass.) heads the Temple of Isis. There is the
Church of Circle Wicca; The Witches International Craft Association and
numerous others.

   4. INTRA-GENERATIONAL OCCULTIST -- These are clandestine (secret),
family religions that pass their occultic practices from one generation
to another. This category of occultists seems to be well organized,
very secretive and are often very dangerous.

   OTHER THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW

For the most part, wherever you find witchcraft you will likely find
nudity because many of their rituals are performed "skyclad" (in the
nude). Witches practice divination, that is the attempt to obtain
information regarding the past, present or future through occultic
methods like astrology, channeling (inviting a spirit to possess your
body), tarot cards, crystal balls, etc.

Magic is a cornerstone of witchcraft. When I speak of magic I am not
talking about legerdemain magic, that is "slight-of- hand." I am
talking about invoking or attempting to invoke an invisible force for
use in influencing, manipulating, or controlling a given situation to
accomplish ones own will in that situation.

Then there is the common ritual among witches and occult followers
of "drawing down the moon." The high priestess of the coven usually
stands "skyclad" with arms outstretched to the sky and calls down the
goddess or invites the goddess to possess them. In response, the high
priestess will often enter a trance state and become the voice of the
goddess. During this time she functions as the goddess incarnate
(goddess in the flesh) within the magic circle. Whatever she says is
supposedly directly from the goddess.

It should be noted that many occult groups engage in sexual
activities as a part of their rituals. I have counseled with numerous
people formerly involved in various occult groups and I want you to
know that rape, perversion and immorality are common. It's not the "fun
and games" that are often promised at the outset.

   COMING UP IN FUTURE ISSUES

Pictures and explanations of "dabbler" level occult sights and
activities. Criminal ritualistic behavior. Practices that can draw
teenagers into the occult. A look at a "Book of Shadows." What the
Bible says about occult involvement.
