Be rooted and grounded in Love

Inspiration Read 1 Corinthians 13 The Power of Love

[Be] rooted and grounded in love. Ephesians 3:17

Love generated by the Holy Spirit is the most powerful force in the
world! It reflects the warmest of all God's shining attributes. If we
are "rooted and grounded" in the holy soil of love, we will bring forth
the beautiful clusters of the fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22, 23). Life
will take on new meaning, and people will be attracted to the One who
fills our hearts with its warmth and beauty (John 13:35).

In "Illustrations from Literature", Amy L. Pearson pointed out that
in our eagerness to get people to do what we want, we sometimes forget
the admonitions of Scripture to be controlled by love. When that
happens, we quickly resort to nagging and scolding. This does more harm
than good. To drive home her point, the author related Aesop's fable
that tells about the wind and sun arguing about which one was the
stronger. At last the sun said, "Look at that traveler down there.
Let's see which one of us can get him to take off his coat. I'll let
you begin." While the sun hid it's face behind a cloud, the wind began
to blow; but the harder he blew, the more firmly the poor fellow held
his garment about him. Finally the wind gave up. The sun came out and
shone so warmly that the man soon removed his coat. Amy Person
commented, "Many times kindness and gentleness will get results when
fussing and scolding can do nothing but fail."

Do you want to influence others for Christ in your family? In your
neighborhood? At work? Then let His love control all of your actions.
It's very difficult to withstand the powerful force of love. -H.G.B.

   Lord, teach us the lesson of loving, The love you are asking today;
Then help us to love one another: For this we most earnestly pray.

THE BEST PROOF OF LOVE FOR GOD IS LOVE FOR ONE ANOTHER.....
