                               CHAPTER 1
1. Shim'on Kefa, a bond-servant and emissary of Yeshua Messiah, unto
those equally precious with us, having obtained faith in (the)
righteousness of our God and Deliverer/Savior-<4990> Yeshua Messiah:
     *[P>Shim'on Kefa, a servant and emissary of Yeshua Messiah, unto
     those who through the righteousness of our Lord and Deliverer/
     Savior Yeshua Messiah have been made equal with us in the precious
     faith:]
     *<|Lit.Gr.|...righteousness of the God of us and Deliverer of us
     Yeshua Messiah.> The Greek is very clear here in giving both
     titles, "God and Deliverer", to Yeshua Messiah. (Also in: Titus
     2:13). Kefa is stating above what we know from Yochanan/John 1:1
     as well, that: Yeshua Messiah being the Davar/Memra/Word of Elohim
     is part of Elohim and is therefore Elohim. While the Aramaic
     uses "Lord" instead of "God" here, we know that *2 Peter, 2 & 3rd
     John, Jude and Revelation are not in the oldest Peshitta version,
     but only appear in the Aramaic texts that were written quite a bit
     later. So, for all these* books of the New Covenant, most of the
     various Greek texts are older. However, in the ancient Peshitta
     Aramaic text, (which includes the book of Titus), the reading of
     "God", (as it is also in the Greek), is present in Titus 2:13.
2. Grace unto you and shalom be multiplied by knowledge/recognition of
{P> Elohim and of} Yeshua [P> Messiah] the Lord of us.
3. As the Divine power of Him has given all things unto us <going
forward unto>-toward/pertaining-unto life-<2222> and piety-<2150>
through the knowledge/recognition of the (One) calling us through glory
and virtue,
     *[P> Who has given us all things that pertain unto the power of
     Elohim, for life and worship of Elohim, through the knowledge of
     Him who has called us by His glory and excellence,]
4. Through which He has given unto us the very great and precious
promises, that through these you might be partakers of (the) Divine
nature, escaping from: the corruption in (the) world-<(+) arrangement>
by lust.
5. But also in this very thing, <along with> all diligence bringing in,
furnish also in the faith of yourselves the virtue; and in the virtue
the knowledge;
6. And in the knowledge the self-control; and in the self-control the
cheerful-endurance; and in the cheerful-endurance the piety-<2150>;
7. And in the piety the brotherly-affection; and in the brotherly-
affection-<5360/philadelphia> the love-<26/agape>.
8. For these things in you being and abounding, makes (one) not barren,
(and) not unfruitful, in the knowledge/recognition of the Lord of us
Yeshua Messiah.
9. For the (one) in whom these things (are) not present is blind, being
short-sighted, taking hold of forgetfulness of the cleansing of his
sins in time past.
10. Therefore, rather brothers, be diligent to make sure the calling
and election of you; for these things doing, you shall not at all ever
fall.
11. For in this way richly shall be furnished also unto you the
entrance into the eternal Kingdom of the Lord of us and Deliverer
/Savior Yeshua Messiah.
~12. Therefore I shall not neglect to cause you to remember always
about these things, 'though having known (them) and having been
established in the present truth (you are)-[P> though you know them
well and you rely upon this very truth]'.
13. And I consider right, so long as I am in this tabernacle-[P> body],
to fully awaken you by a reminder,
14. Knowing that soon 'is the laying aside of the tabernacle of me
-[P> I must depart this life]', as indeed the Lord of us Yeshua Messiah
made clear unto me.
15. {P> And I shall also} be diligent {P> to cause you} always '[P>
that you may be able to keep in rememberance]-to have memory of' these
things [P> even] after my departure.
16. For not having followed fables cleverly devised,'we made known unto
you the power and coming of the Lord of us Yeshua Messiah, but (by) eye
-witnesses having become of the majesty of that (One).-<but becoming
eye-witnesses of the majesty of Yeshua Messiah, that (One) made known
unto you the power and coming of our Lord.>'
17. For receiving from Elohim (the) Father honor and glory - (in) such
a voice being borne unto Him from the [P> excellent and] magnificent
Sh'khinah-<glory>: This is the Son of Me, the Beloved, in Whom I
was-<-|prior event| (am)>-[P>] well-pleased;
18. And this voice we--we did hear, out of Heaven being borne, being
with Him in the holy mountain-
19. And we have more firm the prophetic Word, in which you do well
taking-heed/paying-attention-to/adhering-to-<4337>, as unto a Menorah
-<Lamp> shining in a murky-<dust-obscured> place, until that/the Day
dawns and the Morning Star rises in the hearts of you;
     *[P> We have also a true Word of prophecy; you do well when you
     look unto it for guidance, as you look unto the Menorah that
     shines in a dark place until the dawn of day, when the sun shall
     shine in your hearts.]
20. This firstly knowing: 'that every prophecy of Scripture-<the holy
Writing> of (a persons) own (private) interpretation did not come into
being-[P> that not every prophetic writing is made clear in its own
scroll];'
21. For not by will of man was borne at any time prophecy, but [P>]-{by
'Ruach (Ha)Kodesh-<(the)-Holy-Spirit>' having been borne along}, spoke
{holy}-[P>] men 'of-[from]' Elohim/God.

                               CHAPTER 2
1. But there were also false prophets among the people, as also among
you shall be false teachers, who shall secretly bring in heresies of
destruction, 'and the Master, (the One) having bought-[P> even the Lord
who has redeemed]' them - denying, bringing upon themselves swift
destruction.
2. And many shall follow the destructive ways of them, by whom the Way
of the truth shall be evil spoken of.
3. And by covetousness, with moulded/fabricated words, they shall use
you for gain/trade/profit - for whom the judgement 'of old lingers not,
and the destruction of them [shall] slumber{s} not-[P> from the very
beginning has not ceased and their damnation is always active]'.
4. For if Elohim did not spare sinning angels, but delivered (them) to
chains of darkness -thrust down into Tartarus-<5020: the deepest abyss
of Hades/Sh'ol>, having been kept unto [P> tormenting] judgement;
5. And (the) ancient world spared not, but '<(one of only) eight>-(the)
eighth-[P> with his family, eight in all-]' -Noach a herald of
righteousness preserved, (when) bringing a flood (on) a world of
ungodly ones;
6. And the cities of S'dom and `Amora 'covering with ashes-[P> set
afire]', by an overthrow (He) condemned (them), an example setting to
'men intending to-[P> those who hereafter should]' live ungodly
[P> lives].
7. And righteous Lot, having been oppressed by the conduct of the
lawless in lustfulness, (He) delivered.
8. -For in seeing and hearing, the righteous one-(Lot), dwelling among
them day after day, (his) righteous soul with (their) 'violating-Torah
-<458>' deeds (was) tormented.
~9. (Yea), knows (how) Adonai/YHVH the well-reverent-<godly> out of
temptation to deliver, and the unjust for a day of judgement being
punished, to keep.
10. And most of all [P> shall He punish] those going after flesh, in
lust of defilement, and rulership despising, 'darers, self-satisfied;
they tremble not (at) glories-<glorious-ones>, speaking evil;-[P> Bold
and self-willed are they who do not tremble when they blaspheme against
the glory]'.
11. Where angels, being greater in strength and in power, do not bring
'against them before Adonai/YHVH a reproaching charge-[P> upon
themselves the condemnation of blasphemy]'.
12. But these as unreasoning natural beasts, having been born for
'capture and corruption-[P> slaughter and destruction]', speaking evil
in that (of) which they are ignorant, in the corruption of them(selves)
they shall utterly perish;
13. Being about to receive wages of wrongfulness/iniquity, deeming
'enfeebling-the-mind/body-through-indulgence-<5172>' in the day (to be)
pleasure; 'revelling (in) spots and blemishes, in the deceits of them
feasting along with you-[P> spots and blemishes have they, and sport
themselves with their own pleasures as they feast in idleness]';
14. Having eyes full of an adulteress, and never/not ceasing from sin;
alluring- 'unsettled souls-[P> unstable souls are they]'; 'a heart
having been busied (in) having covetousness; children of curse-[P>
whose hearts are well versed in covetousness; accursed sons are they]';
15. Forsaking a straight way/path, they roamed-astray, following the
way of Bil'am the (son) of B'or, who wages of wrongfulness/iniquity
loved,
     *NOTE: Aboth 5:19.
16. But had reproof of (his) own transgression - a dumb ass with (the)
voice of a man speaking - restrained the madness of the prophet.
17. These [P> men] are springs without water, clouds [and mists] by
tempest being driven, for whom the blackness-[P> mist] of darkness
{unto ages-<perpetuity>} is kept.
18. For speaking bulging-over (words) of vanity, they allure by
[P> sensual] lusts of flesh {P> by unbridled lusts}, *those '(who)
really (were)-[are barely]' escaping the (ones) in error living,
     *[P>...; but there are those who flee at a word of warning from
     them who live in error.]
19. Freedom unto them promising, (yet) themselves being slaves of
corruption; for 'by whom anyone has been made-worse/overcome, unto this
one also he has been enslaved-[P> a man is overcome by whatever it is
that enslaves him]'.
20. For if having escaped the defilements of the world by a {P> full}
knowledge of the Lord and Deliverer/Savior Yeshua Messiah, and again by
these being entangled having been made-worse/overcome, (then) hath
become unto them the last things worse (than) the first.
21. For it was better for them not to have {P> fully} known the Way of
righteousness, than {P> fully} knowing -to turn from the sacred/holy
mitzvah/commandment delivered unto them.
     *NOTE: Aboth 5:6.
22. But has happened unto them the (word) of the true proverb: (The)
dog (re)turning unto (his)-<the> own vomit; and (the) washed pig, unto
wallowing (in) mud.

                               CHAPTER 3
1. [P> It has been a long time since I have written unto you, but]
This second letter now, unto you I write [P> my] beloved, in 'which-
[P> both of them]' I [P> have endeavored to] fully-awaken the 'sincere
-[P> pure]' mind (of) you by reminder to remember -
2. - The words having been spoken before by the holy prophets, and the
mitzvah/commandment of 'the Lord and Deliverer/Savior - by us, the
emmissaries-[the emmissaries of your Lord and Savior-<your emmissaries
of the Lord and Savior>-[P> ....commandment given through us, the
emmissaries of our Lord and Deliverer/Savior]';
3. First, knowing this: that shall come during the last days '[P>
mockers who scoff]-scoffers', according to their own lusts walking,
4. And saying: Where is the promise of the coming of Him? -For from
which (time) the-[P> our] fathers fell asleep, all things remain in-
this-(same)-way/thus from the beginning of creation.
5. For (from) them is hidden this (by their) willing (it so), that
heavens were of old, and earth/land out-of/by water, and through water
'having-been/being' held-<set>-together by the Davar/Memra/Word of
Elohim,
     *Alt.Gr: <For this they willfully forget: that by the Word of
     Elohim the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of
     the water and in the water,>
     *[P> Of this they are willingly ignorant, that by the Word of
     Elohim the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of
     water and in the water.]
6. By which the world which then (was), through water being flooded
perished.
     *[P> And those men, because of whose deeds the world of that time
     was overflowed with water, perished.]
7. But the heavens and the earth now, by the same Davar/Memra/Word
having been stored up, are for fire being kept unto a Day of Judgement
and destruction of ungodly men.
     *[P> But the present heavens and earth are sustained by His Word
     and are reserved for fire on the Day of Judgement, which is the
     day of destruction of ungodly men.]
8. But this one thing, let it not be hidden from you beloved: that one
day with Adonai/YHVH (is) as a thousand years, and a thousand years as
one day.
     *NOTE: This idea is also presented in several places in Rabbinic
     writings as well. A paraphrased example of these from a Messianic
     perspective would be as follows:
     The earth was created in 7 days, so this present earth shall end
     in 7 days. A day is unto the Lord as a 1000 years, and a 1000
     years as a day.  2 days-{1000 years} without Torah-[Adam to
     Avraham], 2 days with Torah-[Avraham to Messiah], 2 days of the
     days of Messiah-[Messiah Yeshua's birth to the present; (beginning
     time for this also shown in Daniel)], and then the 1 day of the
     Shabbat rest of the earth-[the Millenium Kingdom as shown in the
     1,000 year rule of Messiah from Jerusalem], then the 8th day of
     new-beginnings-[the re-creation of the Heavens and the earth].
     (See for example: Tal.Bab.TT.Sanh.p.305; Sanh.97a-97b; Zohar in
     Gen.fol.-3,4; etc....)
9. 'The Lord/HaShem' is not slow (as to) the promise, as some deem
slowness, but is long-suffering toward us-[you]-[P>], not having
purposed/willed any to perish, but all unto t'shuvah/repentance to
come.
10. But shall come the Day of Adonai/YHVH as a thief in (the) night,
in which the heavens 'with rushing sound-[P> suddenly]' shall pass
away, and 'having burned-[P> as they burn]', (the) elements shall 'be
dissolved-[P> seperate]', and the earth [P> also] and the works
[P> that are] in it shall '[P> not be found]-be burnt-up-[laid bare]'.
11. 'Then-[P> Now since]' all these things [P> are] being (about to be)
dissolved, (of) what sort ought you to be in sacred/pure/holy behavior
and godliness? -
12. Looking for and 'hasten-<speed/urge>-ing-[P> longing for]' the
coming of the Day of Elohim, through which the heavens 'having been set
afire-[P> being tested with fire]' shall be dissolved, and (the)
elements 'burning-[P> with fervent heat]' shall melt.
13. -But new heavens and new earth, according to the promise of Him, we
look for, in which righteousness dwells.
14. Therefore beloved, these things looking for be diligent, spotless,
and without blemish, to be found in shalom by Him.
     *[P> Therefore, my beloved, while you look for these things, be
     diligent that you may be found by Him in shalom, without spot and
     blameless.]
15. And the long-suffering of the Lord of us (as) Salvation consider/
deem, as also the beloved brother of us Sha'ul, according to the wisdom
given unto him, wrote unto you;
16. As also in all (his) letters, speaking in them concerning these
things, in which are some things [P> so] hard to understand, 'which the
-[P> that those who are]' unlearned and unsettled wrench/pervert
[P> their meaning], as (they) also (do the) 'remaining-<the rest of
the>' Scriptures-<Holy Writings/1124>, unto their own destruction.
     *NOTE: Aboth 5:2.
~17. You then beloved, 'knowing-[P> seeing that you know these things]'
beforehand, 'watch! -(so) that not by-[P> beware! lest you follow]' the
error of the lawless {P> being led away}, you-[P> and] fall from (your)
own steadfastness.
18. But grow in grace and [P> in the] knowledge of the Lord of us and
Deliverer/Savior - Yeshua Messiah [P> and of God the Father]. To Him
be {P> the} glory both now and 'unto (the) day of eternity-[P> forever
and through all eternity]'.  Amaine.
